Los Lunas Tigers Claim Joe Vivian

After celebrating as newly crowned State Football Champions The Los Lunas Tigers brought a full roster to the Joe Vivian this weekend. As they head back to the mat the Tigers made it clear they're also seeking a state title at this year's State Wrestling Tournament.

With only one Tournament Champion the Tigers won by a 45 point landslide. Junior Miguel Andrade was the solo Vivian Champion for the Tigers. The Tigers had 11 wrestlers place winning simply by playing the numbers game. As the State Tournament draws closer the Tigers are top favorites to win a state title this season as long as they can keep the numbers in their favor.

The Volcano Vista Hawks also showed their potential this weekend with 4 Tournament Champions. Showing strength in the lower weight classes The Hawks have a few gaps to fill in order to become contenders in February.

With the State Tournament about a month away the anticipation is starting to build.
