WRESTLER OF THE WEEK

If you want to talk about wrestlers who are on fire right now at the youth level, Salice Briseno is at the top of the list. This has earned her the Wrestler Of The Week.

Wrestling out of Top Rank Wrestling club, Salice Briseno has quickly made her presence known on the mat. With only three years under her belt, Salice hails as a two-time New Mexico defending State Champion.

Going undefeated in last year's season, Salice earned the Wrestler Of The Year Award for her division. While dominating the competition in New Mexico, she has also made her presence known on the national level with a 4th-place finish at Reno World Nationals. To add she also captured her 3rd consecutive Greater Southwest National title last season.

What's more impressive is the dedication and passion she shows towards the sport. With a devoting work ethic and ability to stand out as a leader, the tenacious Salice also shows great sportsmanship on and off the mat.

In a couple of weeks, Salice is scheduled to make another national tournament appearance in Tulsa on November 20th. Practicing twice a day, Salice Briseno wants everyone to know she will be ready to represent New Mexico.
